Terms & Conditions of Admission 2024
- Terminology
1.1 In these Terms & Conditions the following words shall have the following meanings:
“The Event” means Avon Valley Country Park LTD – FEAR EVENT and its grounds.
“Company” means Avon Valley Country Park LTD
“Management” means the Management of Avon Valley Country Park LTD
“Park Staff” means the staff, employees and representatives of Avon Valley Country Park LTD.
“Guests(s)” means the company, firm or individuals present within The Event. “Ticket” means the entry ticket and respective cost of that ticket into The Event.
- General
2.1 The Management will attempt to ensure that as many attractions as possible are open for use by guests, however The Management reserves the right to close the attractions if at any time it is deemed necessary to do so. All attractions are subject to availability.
2.2 All persons visiting The Event are admitted subject and agreeing to the Terms and Conditions.
2.3 The Management reserves the right to not issue any refunds.
2.4 The Management and Park Staff reserve the right to refuse admission and / or to remove from The Event, in its absolute discretion and without giving any reasons, any person failing to comply with the Terms and Conditions or whose presence is, in its absolute discretion, a source of danger or annoyance and shall have no obligation to give any reason therefore.
2.5 Height and other restrictions apply on fairground rides. Details are provided at ride entrances and Ride Operators reserves the right to close the rides if at any time it is deemed necessary to do so.
2.6 The Management requests Guests under 16 years of age should be accompanied by an adult over 18. Parental/guardian discretion is advised concerning sensitive young children. We may request proof of age.
2.7 Parking or setting down within The Event is prohibited, other than at the official car parks.
2.8 Entry into, and the right to remain within, The Event is subject to the requirement to submit to search or searches, of guests, their baggage, or the vehicles in which they travel.
2.9 Management accepts no responsibility for vehicles or their contents, which are left entirely at owner’s risk.
2.10 No dogs are allowed anywhere on the Park, except service dogs.
2.11 Please observe the designated drinking areas. Alcoholic beverages must only be carried or consumed within these areas.
2.12 Any behaviour such as drunkenness, violent or abusive conduct, singing or shouting which may constitute an annoyance to other Guests or Park Staff is prohibited.
2.13 Anyone displaying lewd, offensive or threatening behaviour (either to Guests or Park Staff) will be removed from site without a refund.
2.14 The Event operates in all weather conditions, you must wear sensible clothing and footwear and be prepared for potentially wet and muddy conditions in The Event.
2.15 The Guest shall not (and shall ensure that all guests/delegates and third parties do not) permit any goods, services or any other matter capable of being sold (including, but not limited to, tickets) to be sold within The Event without the prior written approval of the Company and any public authority (where necessary).
2.16 Any person who is not party to the Terms and Conditions shall have no rights under the Contracts (Right of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any terms of this Terms and Conditions. The clause does not affect any right or remedy of any person which exists or is available otherwise than the pursuant to that Act.
2.17 This Contract shall be governed by English Law and the parties to this Contract submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
- The Event
3.1 FEAR at Avon Valley is frightening and includes multiple effects which may include total darkness, water spray and splash, uneven surfaces, air blasts, strobe lighting, latex, narrow tunnels, sudden loud noises, live actors, fog, scent and tight spaces which require you to bend down while walking or crawling. When combined these effects immerse guests in the experience which is intended to be startling and frightening.
3.2 You should not enter if you do not wish to be frightened.
3.3 The event is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, has a heart disorder, suffers from claustrophobia, have a photosensitive form of epilepsy, suffers from a back disorder, suffers from asthma or are of a nervous disposition.
3.4 No forms of light are allowed inside The Event, this includes laser pointers and torches.
3.5 Head or face masks and imitation weaponry of any kind are forbidden inside The Event.
- The Attractions
4.1 You must not touch anything inside the attractions, this includes properties, sets, effects and actors.
4.2 The actors will not hurt you, but may inadvertently touch you in any attraction. They may intentionally invade your personal space. They may make physical contact with your arms, shoulders, lower legs or the top of your head without malice. You must not touch them.
4.3 Offensive sexual language and expletives may be used by the actors. This is part of the experience and is designed to create simulated intimidation. You must not swear at the actors.
4.4 Smoking, chewing gum, eating and drinking are forbidden inside any attraction.
4.5 You must switch off all mobile telephones and visual or audio recording equipment whilst inside the attractions. Attempting to record any aspect of the attractions is forbidden failing to comply with instructions from a member of Management may be ejected from The Event with no refund.
4.6 You must walk forwards at all times, with both hands on the shoulders or waist of the person in front of you, unless you are the leader. You must not stop or move backwards unless instructed to do so by the actors. You must never run anywhere in The Event at any time for any reason.
4.7 The attractions are not wheelchair friendly.
- Tickets
5.1 All Guests entering must have a valid entrance ticket that must be retained throughout their visit.
5.2 Tickets are not transferable and accordingly may not be sold or passed on to any third party.
5.3 Tickets are sold on the understanding that no money in respect of unused tickets will be reimbursed.
5.4 Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced.
5A. FEAR Pass Ticket
5A.1 This entitles you to entry into The Event, access to the main bar, food and drink outlets, street theatre shows and fairground area.
5A.2 This ticket entitles you to multiple entries per attraction.
5B. FAST TRACK Pass Ticket
5B.1 This entitles you to entry into The Event, access to the main bar, food and drink outlets, street theatre shows and fairground area.
5B.2 This ticket entitles you to 5 x fast track entry into attractions of your choice. Additional maze entries require regular queuing.
5C. Ultimate Pass Ticket
5C.1 This entitles you to priority entry into The Event, access to the main bar, VIP Area, food and drink outlets, street theatre shows and fairground area.
5C.2 This ticket entitles you to unlimited fast track entry per attraction.
5D. RIP Pass Ticket
5D.1 This entitles you to priority entry into The Event, access to the main bar, VIP Area, food and drink outlets, street theatre shows and fairground area.
5D.2 This ticket entitles you to unlimited fast track entry to our attractions.
5D.3 This ticket allows you
- Access to the event arena and scare attractions.
- Unlimited Fast Track queue jumps.
- Entry to The Exorcism.
- Street Theatre & Fire Shows.
- Bottle Smash.
- Zombie Basketball.
- Electric Chair.
- Thrill Rides.
- Photo Opp Ticket.
- R.I.P Lanyard.
- Meal Ticket.
- Boozy Bar Package – 5 Drinks.
- R.I.P Bar Access with Complimentary Soft Drinks & Snacks.
- FEAR Hoodie.
5D.4 The Exorcism experience is also included.
- Online Ticket Booking
6.1 Tickets purchased online are non-refundable and non-transferable.
6.2 All online transactions incur a £3.95 booking fee.
6.3 When collecting tickets on arrival, we require a copy of your email booking confirmation (printed or on a mobile device) along with the card utilised to pay for your tickets online.
6.4 The management are not obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
6.5 Attractions may be unavailable at any time for technical or operational reasons.
6.6 Email booking confirmations can be shown on a smartphone or mobile device in lieu of a printed version.
6.7 Tickets purchased online entitle the purchaser to the same rights as pay-on-the-day tickets.
6.8 REFUND POLICY –
All tickets are non-transferable, not for resale, are not refundable and will become automatically void on any transfer for value.
Tickets purchased are only valid on the date printed on the ticket. Pre-booked tickets are non-refundable in the event that admission is refused or relinquished for any reason referred to in these Entry Conditions. Non-dated tickets booked in advance do not guarantee admission to the Attraction, especially during busy times or on specific days when there are special events. If tickets are bought on behalf of other guests, the buyer accepts these Entry Conditions on behalf of every guest and shall ensure that these Entry Conditions are complied with by each person in the group. If re-entry into the Attraction is required, an appropriate hand-stamp or ticket must be obtained, before exiting the Attraction which must be shown at the time of re-entry to regain access. Tickets must be retained at all times and submitted for inspection if required by Avon Valley Country Park LTD. No child or children under the age of 16 will be admitted to the Attraction unless they are accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over and such child or children whilst on site must remain under the control or supervision of an adult at all times. Avon Valley Country Park LTD reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to change the age restrictions referred to in this condition, if any particular circumstances so require in the interests of safety and security.
- Fire, Health and Safety
7.1 The climbing of fences, stands or any other buildings is forbidden.
7.2 The misuse of rides and attractions, interference with equipment or devices which are there in the interests of safety is a criminal offence, offenders will be asked to leave The Event without a refund and may be subject to prosecution.
7.3 Ignoring safety warnings given either verbally or by signage may result in being asked to leave The Event without a refund.
7.4 The possession or use of illegal drugs is strictly forbidden, offenders will be asked to leave The Event without a refund and may be subject to prosecution.
7.5 The possession of any weapon or other item to cause damage or injury to persons or property is strictly prohibited and may result in criminal action being taken.
7.6 Naked flames of any kind are strictly forbidden inside The Event and inside the attractions, this includes but not limited to sparklers, lighters, matches.
7.7 Any person failing to comply with instructions from a member of Management may be ejected from The Event with no refund.
7.8 The Guest shall pay for the cost of repairing any damage caused to the property, contents or grounds of The Event and the Company and its Guests
7.9 The Company reserves the right to evacuate The Event in the event of an evacuation announcement, or other emergency irrespective of whether it is a genuine emergency or not, in order to protect all Guests, Management and Park Staff and in this event, does not accept any liability for any delay or is liable to refund part or all of the Ticket
- Smoking Policy
8.1 Smoking (including the use of e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited within all covered areas of the The Event, including the attractions.
8.2 Management and Park Staff reserve the right to refuse admission or to evict Guests from these areas should they violate clause 6.
- Liability
9.1 The Company shall in no circumstances be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense or any consequential or indirect loss or damage of any kind.
9.2 The Company does not accept responsibility for parental supervision or guardianship for any individuals under the age of 18 years.
- Force Majeure
10.1 In this clause 8, “Force Majeure” means any circumstances beyond the control of The Company including, but not limited to, acts of God, to war, civil disturbance, order of a Government Ministry or department or public authority, fire, flood, natural catastrophe, royal demise, labour dispute, lock-out, withdrawal of labour or breakdown or interruption of services or transport (public or otherwise) or death or illness of a key person, lack of power and delays by suppliers or materials shortages.
10.2 If the Company is prevented from or hindered from operating or partially operating by a Force Majeure the Company may, at its sole option, and without being liable for any loss or damage suffered by the Guest or guests/delegates of or any thirds party employed by the Guest suspend operations for the period of the event plus such time as may be required to resume normality. Such an event shall not entitle visitors to take any steps against the company for breach or to terminate the agreement or otherwise.
- Promotional Codes and Voucher Codes
11.1 Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park Ltd. reserves the right to cancel or amend promotional/voucher codes and their terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- Photography
12.1 From time to time Avon Valley Country Park Ltd d or other authorised parties carry out photography and/or video recording within The Event, which may feature visitors. Entry to The Event is deemed acceptance of these regulations and you therefore agree that Avon Valley Country Park Ltd or any authorised party may use such images in perpetuity in any promotional, advertising or publicity material in any format whatsoever. You further agree that copyright in these materials rests with Avon Valley Country Park Ltd or such authorised party (as the case may be)
12.2 Any Pictures and recording of any kind is owned by Avon Valley Country Park Ltd.
- Competitions
All FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park competitions held on the FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts require that you are deemed to have accepted the following Terms and Conditions of use. The winner must be in accordance with the regulations of FEAR at Avon Valley and Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park, a copy of which is displayed at the attraction or can be obtained online at www.fearavonvalley.com.
Please ensure that you agree to be bound by the regulations before redeeming your prize. FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park will pick the winner and has final say on this matter.
13.1 The prize promotion is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over except:
- a) Any employees of FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park, Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park or members of their immediate families;
- b) Any employees or representatives of any agencies, suppliers or third parties associated with any attractions in FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park, Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park or Unlocked Vision Entertainment; or
- c) If you are not over 18 and win please ensure your parent or guardian get in touch with us to claim the prize. Please note you must be over the age of 16 to enter the event and if you are aged between 16 and 18 you must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 to enter the event.
13.2 The winner will be announced by FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park on their date of choice.
13.3 Reasonable efforts by FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park will be made to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is unable to comply with these terms and conditions, FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random, and no alternative prizes will be given.
13.4 The prize is not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered, unless specifically agreed by FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park. The prize is not valid in conjunction with any other offer and if additional tickets are required for the winner’s party these must be purchased in accordance with FEAR at Avon Valley’s ordinary ticketing procedures. FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of the same or greater value at any time.
13.5 FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park will not use the winner’s details for marketing purposes unless they have opted in to receive such information.
13.6 The winner is responsible for any expenses and arrangements not specifically included in the prize, including any necessary travel arrangements, costs, travel documentation, hotel stays or meals, drinks or any other costs incurred as a result of claiming this prize and visiting FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park.
13.7 FEAR Scream Park may contact the competition winner post-visit for feedback purposes.
13.8 FEAR Scream Park cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by the winner or as a result of accepting the prize.
13.9 The winner agrees to the use of their name, photograph and disclosure of county of residence and they will co-operate with any other reasonable request by FEAR at Avon Valley relating to any post-winning publicity including all social channels.
13.10 FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
13.11 FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time and for any reason.
13.12 The prize offered in each competition will vary and will be detailed in the specific competition entered by the participant. The tickets received can be used on any normal operating day during the 2019 Halloween season, excluding special events – please see www.fearavonvalley.com for all operating days, which are subject to change with no prior notice.
